V1 (also known as ThePrincess) is a VN-style game made by UW. It is the first installment of V SERIES: A Tale of Friendship, and also the first entry in the Questions Arc of this franchise. It was created in 29 days with Python and Ren'Py.
The game was released exclusively for the Deprimus members, on January 27th 2020. It is considered to be one of the most important games in Deprimus, due to the fact that it inspired all future franchises.
The synopsis of the game is as follows:
"It's a casual day. You, Andrew, are hanging out with your highschool friend, Cassie. However, something terrible is about to happen. Something that might as well change the whole humanity."
The game starts with a scene of the protagonist, AndrewIGD, walking around with his classmate Cassie. They encounter Melnic, who plans on fighting them. AndrewIGD manages to turn him away, and takes Cassie to a nearby park. Cassie then attempts to tell the protagonist something important, but is interrupted by David, who also wants to fight. AndrewIGD beats him as well, but Cassie gets kidnapped by David.
The protagonist looks around for David with no luck, and decides to rest on a bench. This is when he meets Pebly, who decides to help him look for David. They encounter Alan in an alleyway, who is defeated very easily. However, when he tries to retreat, MisterInfo appears in the scene and finishes him by roasting him. The player is then informed by Unity (an anthropomorphization of the Unity engine) that he has to either sing a victory song or to roast the enemy, in order to fully finish him.
Everyone heads for the DeHard headquarters, David's company, but they encounter Melnic again. They beat him again, and Pebly sings an accordion song in order to get rid of him. After that, they call David's office via the intercom, and manage to get him to come outside by saying "Pizza delivery". They proceed to win this fight, and AndrewIGD finishes him off with the Pi song.
Cassie then comes out of the building, and reveals that she actually plans to destroy everyone. AndrewIGD manages to beat her, and MisterInfo finishes her off with his guitar skills by singing Through the Fire and Flames. After Cassie is defeated, the universe collapses and the game "breaks". However, UW shows up and executes a couple of commands which reset the scene and show the credits.
The game features multiple characters.
The protagonist of the game, who participates in all of the fights. He tries to save his classmate, but also doesn't hesitate to defeat her after finding out about her plan.
The main antagonist, and also AndrewIGD's classmate. While she makes it look like she likes AndrewIGD, it's all a lie. She is also nicknamed Princess Peach.
One of AndrewIGD's friends, who helps him in his quest to find Cassie.
Another one of AndrewIGD's friends. He holds a grudge against Cassie.
An antagonist who attacks AndrewIGD, and also claims to be a genius.
Another antagonist, who is more dangerous than Melnic.
The least dangerous antagonist, who is easily defeated by MisterInfo.
The creator of the game, who only appears at the end of the game. He fixes the scene and rolls the credits, by using a bunch of commands.
V1 referenced a lot of memes of the Deprimus group. Therefore, not many memes were created by this game.
During the final fight with Cassie, she yells "Ahhhhhh" repeatedly when she takes damage. The way this quote was voiced makes it sound like Cassie is pleasuring herself. This meme may be used when someone doesn't want to say what they'll do with a girl when they'll be alone.
Before the fight with Alan, there's a poster that references another meme (namely "Jokes is my life", with the intentional typo). This has caused UW and AndrewIGD to also place hidden posters with references to other memes, inside their future games. This meme may be used when someone asks for help while making a game's map.
the game was originally called ThePrincess. However, AndrewIGD made a sequel (V2) and then decided to collaborate with UW to make another game. They both named the new project V3. Therefore, this game got the name V1, AndrewIGD's sequel got the name V2, and the whole franchise (containing V1, V2, and V3) was named ThePrincess.
